Startups and corporations are looking for each other, but the road to meeting and combining the interests of both sides is not easy. With help comes Huge Thing - one of the longest-running operators of accelerator programs in Poland. Huge Thing, together with PFR Ventures, is developing a map of companies operating in Poland, actively seeking innovation.

Huge Innovators’ Map will focus on corporations and large organizations. To be “on the map,” they only need to answer a few questions in a survey available on the Huge Thing website.

What is the map for?

The Huge Innovators’ Map is being created to point startups to all large companies and corporations operating in our country and actively seeking innovation. The authors of the map, the Huge Thing team that is part of SpeedUp Venture Capital Group and PFR Ventures, want to comprehensively examine the needs of corporations and point out to startups specific opportunities to cooperate with large companies, depending on their stage of development.

“At Huge Thing, we have been working with corporations for many years. We have observed numerous successful collaborations between large companies and startups, in various areas. On the other hand, we have repeatedly heard from startups about the difficulties of reaching the right companies and decision-makers. We want to meet the needs of both startups and corporations. Our map will clearly define what innovations the corporations are looking for and what requirements need to be met in order to sit down at the table together.”
– Zuzanna Kowala, Program Manager at the Huge Thing team, comments on the initiative.

The map’s authors want to address the questions asked by startups, such as what degree of startup development is required for cooperation, or in which areas corporations most often seek innovation. What’s more, the map will also answer the most common question, namely those about the acceptable form of cooperation.

“Depending on their policies and needs, corporations have different forms of cooperation with startups. Some focus on direct investment through their vehicles, such as CVC funds. Often, we can also see various types of incubation and acceleration programs on the market, organized and co-organized by corporations, which provides further opportunities for joint action. Of course, there are also a large number of large companies on the market, which among startups are simply looking for a partner for business cooperation.”
– Zuzanna Kowala adds.

The survey, conducted by Huge Thing and PFR Ventures, will run until August 31, while the map will be launched in early October.

The survey for companies is available at this link.
