Perovskite

Olga Malinkiewicz: technology for printing thin and flexible solar cells. Perovskites, what are they?

Olga Malinkiewicz was recognized for developing technology for printing perovskite solar cells. These are thin and flexible solar cells – so light that a square meter can be held between two fingers.

What’s more, perovskites allow generating energy from both sunlight and artificial light, opening up a wide range of applications, e.g. the cells could be on windows, building walls and tents. But not only that – Wroclaw perovskites are already on Orlen and Google.

– A visionary idea, a technology that will change the world, a revolution with global potential – these are the opinions about what Olga Malinkiewicz is doing.

Perovskites made in Wroclaw. Why did Olga Malinkiewicz choose Wroclaw?

In 2021, the world’s first perovskite factory opened by Malinkiewicz’s company, Saule Technologies, was established in Wrocław (in the Wrocław Technology Park).

Saule Technologies is a company, created in 2014 by physicist Olga Malinkiewicz and businessmen Piotr Krych and Artur Kupczunas.
