“Pitch Me Baby” is an event where startups practice their pitchdecks, i.e. presentations of their projects in front of investors, experts and mentors. It is aimed primarily at those who want to improve their idea presentation skills.
“This is our third edition in Wroclaw. You can see that with each edition the quality of the presentations improves. More and more foreign teams are also appearing, which is important because we are not limited to the Polish DNA. This allows more and more interesting ideas to emerge that have a chance to go abroad.”
– Maciej Majewski, CEO of Accelpoint
A chance for valuable feedback
The formula of the event assumes that after each 5-minute performance there will be immediate feedback, i.e. honest and direct information. As a result, each presenter immediately learns from those in the room what they think of his performance. This allows him to master the skill of presenting his idea to perfection.
“We are creating a new generation of probiotics in Wroclaw to help people lose weight. Events like this help us a lot. First of all, we collect valuable feedback. The criticism that fell on us today has shown us how to improve and better show people what we want to produce. While this is understood within our team and among people in the industry, it is not necessarily so for other people.”
– Grzegorz Stroka of Akkerbiotic
Marketing should not be forgotten
“Pitch Me Baby” is not only an opportunity to improve presentation skills, but also a networking venue for the startup community. It’s also a chance to get potential investors interested in your idea.
“We talked today about our product, which is an application for quick screening of candidates using artificial intelligence. Such events are essential because they allow you to make the right contacts, both with investors and customers. They are certainly of great interest to the startup community.”
– Kasper Stasiak, founder of Awakast
“Such meetings are of great importance for startup owners. You can meet interesting people and make valuable contacts. Marketing is something we often forget about. Meanwhile, at such events you can promote yourself and learn something from people who have more experience in business.”
– Ewelina Pawlus-Czerniejewska, CEO of Green Zebras S.A.
See you in 2024
The organizers of the event already have ambitious plans for next year.
“We are counting on some of the teams we have already seen to come once again to show progress. This will also result in further investments.” – Maciej Majewski
