Report “Polish Startups 2025”. Let’s show the strength of Lower Silesian startups [SURVEY]

02.09.2025

Every year, the Startup Poland Foundation asks Polish technology companies how they are doing – what works, what gets in the way, and what their plans for the future are. Based on these answers, the “Polish Startups” report is created, which not only describes the ecosystem on the Vistula but also becomes an important tool in discussions with the government, local authorities, and investors.

Report “Polish Startups”. A study that shapes the future of innovation in Poland

This study is of great importance not only for startups themselves but also for decision-makers – politicians, officials, and institutions that create support programs for young companies. The results of the “Polish Startups” report are a real source of knowledge about market needs and often become the basis for decisions related to new regulations or initiatives supporting innovation.

Regional ranking – Lower Silesia among the leaders

One element of the report is the ranking of Polish regions in terms of the number of registered and operating technology companies. For several years, Lower Silesia and Wrocław have been at the very top of the list.

  • 2022 – Lower Silesia took 1st place with 21% of registered startups nationwide, overtaking even Warsaw.
  • 2023 – the region maintained its lead, recording 28% of startups.
  • 2024 – Wrocław ranked 2nd with 20%, remaining one of the most important innovation hubs in Poland.
The participation of local companies in the survey is crucial – thanks to the collected data, Lower Silesia has been on the podium for years. By completing the survey, startups not only support the development of the innovation ecosystem but also increase the visibility of the region on a national scale.
“Filling out the survey is not just another ranking point – it is a signal that Lower Silesia is one of the key places on the map of Polish innovation. If we want our startup ecosystem to be heard even louder, we need your participation.”
Paulina Muszyńska, Head of Startup Wroclaw

That is why we encourage all companies from Wrocław and Lower Silesia – take a moment and fill out the survey.
