26.05.2025

Startup founders, creators of promising ventures, experienced business angels, VC fund managers, top experts, and innovation enthusiasts met on May 22 in Karpacz at the conference "WallStreet Startups: Business Angels. Investments. Exits." This unique event was an integral part of the "WallStreet 29 Conference." The conference "WallStreet Startups: Business Angels. Investments. Exits," held last Thursday, May 22, at the Gołębiewski Hotel in Karpacz, was a unique opportunity to gain comprehensive knowledge of the investment market and establish broad business connections. Its aim was, among other things, to jointly develop real changes on the Polish innovation scene. It was also a valuable chance to exchange experiences, meet top investors, discover the latest market strategies, and explore profitable investment niches.

They shared how to invest and what the upcoming trends will be

According to Paulina Muszyńska, Head of Startup Wroclaw, the event brought together many renowned experts who shared interesting and previously unknown insights and facts on how to invest, what to avoid, and what trends are on the horizon. They also discussed how to support startups so they can function effectively and grow dynamically, both from an investment and technological standpoint.

“We were joined today by many amazing guests, also those interested in stock market topics. Therefore, we hope to attract even more angels to our Wrocław and Lower Silesian community, which will result in increased investment in local startups.”

They built invaluable connections

The conference program included inspiring keynote speeches by visionaries, a practical “Fireside Chat” with business practitioners and leaders, a thought-provoking panel discussion, and networking opportunities that facilitated building connections within the startup and investment ecosystem.

According to Piotr Krzysztofik from the Wroclaw Tech Business Angels Club, Thursday’s event is essentially a continuation of the investor community integration that began with the Wrocław Venture Connect conference.

“I hope this conference is the beginning of regularly inviting a broader investment audience from across Poland. Here in Karpacz, during WallStreet, we want to show that startup investments also make sense and encourage more investors to engage in this space. We want their help in building the investment environment and shifting the public-side ecosystem, so that we, as business angels, can have better conditions for investing — legally, legislatively, and tax-wise.”

A wealth of knowledge from practitioners

Meanwhile, Piotr Krawiec, entrepreneur and business angel, believes that the conference “WallStreet Startups: Business Angels. Investments. Exits” was a special event that gathered excellent speakers.

“Today we received a solid dose of knowledge from market practitioners. Great atmosphere. I hope this event continues and becomes a regular fixture.”

Supporting startups to go global

According to Diana Koziarska, partner and co-founder of SMOK Ventures, investing in startups is a fascinating job.

“In Poland and the CEE region, we have incredible tech talent. That’s why I find great satisfaction in supporting Polish entrepreneurs in building internationally operating companies and helping them go global. We also want to support founders who are growing their companies overseas.”
Diana Koziarska
