Startup WRO Meetup is a recurring expert and networking event organized by Startup Wroclaw — an initiative supporting the development of startups and the innovation ecosystem in Wrocław. It is addressed to:
• startup founders and entrepreneurs,
• young innovators and people with a business idea,
• investors, business angels, mentors,
• people interested in technology, trends, and developing their own projects.
These events combine talks, panel discussions, startup presentations, and networking — an opportunity to connect with investors, mentors, other startup founders, and technology enthusiasts.
How to build a competitive advantage in the world of innovation?
During the December meetup, the twelfth edition, participants will learn proven product-building strategies, discover how to secure their financial future, and listen to the best startup pitches during the 7th edition of Pitch Me Baby, one of the most important platforms for startups in Wrocław.
“The world is changing faster than ever, but in this rapid pace it’s crucial for founders to focus on what truly creates value in their businesses.”
Maciej Jacenik, Startup Wrocław
A concrete roadmap for every startup
The program includes a conversation between Maciej Jacenik from Startup Wroclaw and Tomasz Anioł, Head of Business Development at Rigby & Mercur and long-time collaborator of the Karwatka brothers. The topic of the discussion will be: “A founder’s playbook – how the Karwatka Framework helps build what truly matters.”
Tomek will present a practical tool for founders that helps identify priorities, test ideas, and measure progress. Participants will learn, among other things, how to choose the product elements that actually drive growth and how to avoid common pitfalls and team distractions.
“A framework is not theory — it’s a concrete roadmap for any startup that wants to build products with real value.”
Tomasz Anioł
It’s not just about the company — personal finances matter too
Another point on the agenda will be a conversation with Bartosz Kocjan, founder of Hossa ProCapital Fund, who will share his experience in building the first student-managed investment fund in Poland, based on valuations prepared by members of the student organization under the strict supervision of the academic staff of the University of Economics.
Inspired by international Student-Managed Investment Funds and supported by funds from Vilnius and Tallinn, the project aims to provide students with practical knowledge and skills while promoting a conscious approach to capital management.
Next, Michał Patla, Regional Director at PKO TFI, will explain how to take care of one’s personal finances in the long run. In his talk titled “Retirement on your terms”, participants will learn practical saving and investing strategies using IKE and IKZE mechanisms.
An opportunity for new projects and effective collaboration
The highlight of the evening will be Pitch Me Baby #7 — the seventh edition of the iconic series in which startups from Lower Silesia present their ideas to investors and experts. It’s a great chance to see new projects from local innovators, including those seeking seed funding or simply honest feedback.
“PMB is not just a pitch — it’s a real platform connecting ideas, capital, and experience.”
Maciej Majewski, co-founder of Pitch Me Baby
Conversations that lead to new projects
After the expert part, networking will take place in the relaxed atmosphere of Concordia Design, as always. It’s an opportunity for inspiring conversations and making new contacts.
“Startup WRO Meetup is, above all, about people who care — who combine life passions with business and technology. Their meetings, conversations, and guidance often lead to new projects and effective cooperation.”
Maciej Jacenik
Participation in Startup WRO Meetup is free of charge. You only need to register on the event website. The meetup begins on December 2, 2025 at 5:00 PM.
