Evolutions: Meetup & Showcase is an event for startups, designed with growth, networking, and inspiration in mind. The first day features an intensive workshop session, divided by skill level. Participants will take part in sessions on marketing, business models, cooperation with VCs, and will benefit from free tax and legal consultations. A special event with the European Space Agency is also scheduled to take place at Barbara.
The second day marks the highlight of the event—a unique evening conference featuring panel discussions and inspiring talks, including on topics like startup financing and how running a company compares to extreme sports. Among the speakers will be representatives of startups such as Momentum AI, OXLA, and Coraz Zdrowiej.
A mix of pace, emotion, and solid knowledge
According to Krystyna Kardacz from Startup Wrocław, project lead for Evolutions: Meetup & Showcase, this edition brings a completely new take on the event, combining speed, energy, and a solid dose of insight:
A contest for those who fear no challenge
The main highlight of the second day will be the Showcase Contest—a unique pitching competition styled as a boxing match. Organizers describe the format as dynamic and uncompromising. In the first round, each startup has 3 minutes to pitch and 1 minute to answer questions. After each “match,” the winner advances to the next round. In the final round, the top three participants will each have 2 minutes to defend their vision and convince the jury their idea deserves to be on the podium.
Participants will compete for valuable prizes: over €180,000 in grants from OVHcloud, PLN 40,000 in cash, and tickets to top startup events across Europe.
The contest is aimed at startups from EU countries that are not afraid of challenges and are ready to fight for investor attention, jury recognition, and tangible financial support.
The jury will include representatives from renowned funds such as SMOK Ventures, Movens Capital, and Underline Ventures. Prior to the contest, participants will join pitching workshops to prepare for the competition as best they can.
Applications are open until June 10, 2025.
Day 0 – The start before it starts
One day before the official start of the event, organizers have planned a surprise: an out-of-town sports and water-based integration activity to energize participants and give them a boost of positivity.
And to wrap it all up—a business mixer and networking with investors, mentors, and partners worth learning from before the event truly takes off.
