On Tuesday, June 15th, the final of the fifth edition of the “Play for mentoring” competition took place. Seven startups introducing innovative technological solutions presented their business ideas to the competition jury. The winner of the competition was FibriTech, a startup working on an eco-alternative for plastic and other petroleum-based materials.
Prize in the competition
The main prize in the competition is an invitation to participate in InCredibles – an acceleration and mentoring program for startups, initiated in 2017 by Sebastian Kulczyk.
The organizers emphasize that the competition was aimed at young innovators with ideas who approach technological challenges and business problems in a unique way. From among the submitted proposals, the competition chapter selected seven companies that qualified for the final stage and presented their ideas during an online gala.
In the chapter were representatives of Wrocław universities and institutions that support the development of entrepreneurship:
- KrzysztofMalinowski – Director of the Medical University Incubator, Centre for Innovation and Technology Transfer of the Piastów Śląskich Medical University in Wrocław;
- Kamil Nawirski – Expert/ Mentor of AIP Wrocław University of Technology;
- Krzysztof Górka – CEO of the Lower Silesian Investment Development Fund;
- Dominik Marzec – P.O. Director in the Entrepreneurship Support Department of Wrocław Technology Park;
- Bartłomiej Nita, PhD – Prorector for Finance and Development at Wrocław University of Economics;
- Marek Pasztetnik – President of the Board of the Western Chamber of Commerce – Employers and Entrepreneurs;
- Tomasz Janoś – Director of the Wrocław Academic Centre, Office of Higher Education Cooperation, Wrocław City Hall.
The event was organized by inQUBE University Business Incubator, Wrocław University of Economics and Sebastian Kulczyk’s InCredibles.
