They discussed FinTech, innovation, and investments. The 10th edition of Startup WRO Meetup is now behind us

18.09.2025

On Thursday, September 11, startup owners, business angels, university representatives, and innovation enthusiasts gathered at Concordia Design. The occasion was the anniversary edition of Startup WRO Meetup. This time, the topics of discussion revolved around the latest trends and challenges related to the future of the financial sector. Startup WRO Meetup is a substantive and networking event organized by Startup Wroclaw, which has been integrating the Wrocław innovation ecosystem and supporting the development of startups for three years. The theme of the tenth meeting in this series was FinTech, i.e., the latest financial technologies. On Thursday evening at Concordia Design, investors, young entrepreneurs, and banking experts discussed how these technologies are changing the way we use banking, investment, and payment services.

A wealth of valuable knowledge from practitioners

Participants examined the most important trends, challenges, and groundbreaking innovations shaping the future of the financial sector.

“This is my first time here, but I think it’s a great event that everyone interested in becoming an entrepreneur or start-up founder should attend. You can gain a lot of valuable knowledge from practitioners here, which is priceless. Today, I took part in a debate where we discussed fintech, cryptocurrencies, and banking.”
Jakub Bartoszek, CEO of Cashify

Relaxed atmosphere and substantive conten

Experts shared their experiences, views on market development, and predictions that may define how financial services will be used in the near future.

“We provide investment advice and deal with mergers and acquisitions in e-business. Today, I talked about how to effectively carry out such a transaction, i.e., how to sell your business or attract an investor. It’s a very dynamic event. There’s a relaxed atmosphere and substantive content. People, institutions, and businesses speak openly about what’s on their minds and what can be changed. It’s a very interesting experience and a wealth of knowledge.”
Michał Uherek from Venturepackt

An opportunity to get to know each other and exchange experiences

Networking was, as usual, an integral part of the meetup. Participants had the opportunity to get to know each other, talk freely, and exchange experiences, not only on financial issues. All this took place in an atmosphere of exceptional openness and cooperation.

“Like all events organized by Startup Wrocław, this is a very interesting undertaking that connects the startup ecosystem with investors and investment funds. I recommend it to anyone interested in startups. This is my third time here.”
Michał Gorząd, CEO of Wireless Instruments
