Startup founders, investors, innovators, and visionaries met once again at this content-rich networking event, Startup WRO Meetup, held at Concordia Design. This time, they discussed the growth of artificial intelligence in Poland, securing funding for innovative projects, and fascinating stories of tech-driven businesses.
Engaging topics, extraordinary people
As Paulina Muszyńska, Head of Startup Wrocław, notes, this is yet another edition of Startup WRO Meetup that attracted a large number of people eager to meet with mentors and investors and learn about building startups.
“We talked about how Poles are operating in the field of artificial intelligence, whether we have a chance to stand out globally, or if we’ll remain mere copycats of innovations from across the ocean. There were many new faces, which makes us happy because it means we’re reaching more and more people. We hope to energize all of Lower Silesia, encouraging people to come to Wrocław to meet other innovators and founders.”

A chance to find a business partner
As always, investors also shared their experiences during Startup WRO Meetup. According to Maciej Zawadziński, this format helps attendees find and connect with people they might do business with in the future, invest in their ideas, or even discover a future co-founder for their startup.
An incredibly creative mixer
Meanwhile, Michał Piosik, Managing Partner at the100, shared his life story, which was met with great enthusiasm.
“I talked about how ADHD ruined my life and helped me build 35 companies, and what lessons I took from that. ADHD can be a superpower if managed properly, but it can also destroy your life if not. I believe that these creative mixers, where people from different business sectors can meet, talk, and try to create something together, are extremely important. Creative and tech-driven people should meet in places like this and build, build, build.”

They are seeding AI in Poland
Many pioneers of the AI world also participated in the event. As Paweł Kiszczak from Data Scientist, an active member of the Bielik AI community, explains, the discussions touched on various AI-related topics – including where AI might head over the next five years, and whether it’s better to build AI solutions in Poland or simply adopt technologies from abroad.
“We also asked ourselves whether AI is a technology we should demonize because it might take our jobs, or rather learn to collaborate with it because it could advance our civilization. Startup WRO Meetup helps build public awareness of what’s happening in the industry, the challenges it faces, and the kind of world we’re about to live in.”
