In our TOP 10 of Wroclaw startups, we have gathered representatives of the most interesting Wroclaw inventions. They are created in dozens of local laboratories or R&D centers, some save lives, others allow us to understand the world we live in.

Infermedica
Founded in Wroclaw, Infermedica specializes in tools that use artificial intelligence (AI) to support doctors and medical professionals in diagnosing and caring for patients. The Symptomate application, for example, allows, among other things, a quick check and analysis of patients’ symptoms, suggesting the most likely causes of ailments and recommending further action. In addition to tools for initial medical diagnosis, Infermedica is creating a platform that will streamline medical visits at all stages, including facilitating doctors’ communication with patients and automating the creation of notes.
Biotts
Biotts scientists from Wroclaw are working on new drugs for cancer, diabetes and COVID-19, among others, in the form of an ointment or patch to replace pills, injections and grueling therapies. What the Wroclaw-based startup Biotts is doing has the potential to change the lives of patients around the world. Biotts scientists are working on a unique transdermal system that carries large drug molecules through the skin. There is a chance that the Polish technology will revolutionize drug and vaccine delivery methods against COVID-19 as well.
Bioceltix
Bioceltix of Wroclaw – the first veterinary biotechnology company – has entered the main market of the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Their stem cell-based biological drugs for dogs and horses will change veterinary medicine. Based on proprietary technology, the Wroclaw-based company wants to make modern biological drugs for animals with a special focus on dogs and horses. Bioceltix is working on projects that could revolutionize medicines for animals. The drugs in question are – for osteoarthritic lesions of the joints and atopic dermatitis, and a drug designed for horses suffering from arthritis.
CUX
CUX.io is an analytical tool that was created to show the broadest context of user behavior when using websites or applications on the Internet. The solutions of the Wroclaw-based startup are used by the largest e-commerce companies in Poland, such as T-Mobile. Marketing agencies from all over the world also cooperate with them, which, thanks to their tool, are able to prepare and monitor campaigns for their clients literally in real time.
Saule Technologies
A visionary idea, a technology that will change the world, a revolution with global potential – that’s what Saule Technologies is said to be doing. The company employs a team of dozens of scientists, engineers from around the world, who have constructed the world’s first production line of printed perovskite cells in the Wroclaw Technology Park. Thanks to them, energy can be generated from both the sun and artificial light, so their perovskite cells are used literally everywhere – from price tags, building facades and carports, i.e. charging sheds for electric cars, to satellites in space.
PayEye
Wroclaw-based fintech PayEye has become the first in the world to commercially release a complete payment system based on payment acceptance through user identification using iris biometrics. PayEye operates under the supervision of the Financial Supervision Commission and has the status of a Small Payment Institution. In addition to the fact that the entire payment system is based on the unique iris pattern of the human eye, the PayEye ecosystem is independent and secure and consists of proprietary, innovative POS payment devices, an electronic wallet for users and algorithms that process the iris into a biometric pattern (payeye code).
SatRev
SatRev is a Wroclaw-based startup that specializes in the design, manufacture and operation of real-time Earth observation satellites. SarRev’s satellites are used in agriculture, monitoring infrastructure (including pipelines), energy, the government sector (including the movement of troops, refugees), and transportation and environmental protection. What SatRevolution is already doing is being successfully applied by Wroclaw. It is the first city in the world to use space technology from SatRevolution to seal the local tax system. Detailed analyses of satellite images of Wroclaw are being used to control property taxes.

Brand24 owns a proprietary online reputation protection and content monitoring tool. The tool is sold globally in the SaaS (Software as a Service) model. The company has a dominant position on the Polish market in its product category and is successfully commercializing the tool on the global market. Brand24 is used by both large global brands and small and medium-sized companies interested in opinions about themselves on the Internet. Brand24 is also a source of analysis and reports giving comprehensive knowledge about customers. The tool allows you to observe their behavior, opinions, as well as related trends.

Artificial intelligence will process documents on its own. Alphamoon is a startup from Wroclaw, Poland, that automates document processing in businesses using artificial intelligence and natural language processing algorithms. Among other things, the system enables easy extraction of text and key information from documents such as bills, invoices and contracts.
