19.12.2025

Wrocław once again confirms its position as one of the most important innovation hubs in Poland. According to the latest edition of the "Polskie Startupy" report, prepared by the Startup Poland Foundation, Lower Silesia once again ranks among the most attractive regions for young technology companies.

"Polish Startups" Report: good news for Wrocław

  • The “Polskie Startupy” report has been prepared for the 11th time.
  • Wrocław and Lower Silesia are still among the most important innovation centers in Poland.
  • Today, as many as 23 percent of Polish startups choose Lower Silesia as their base for development.

The pulse of Startup Poland

The premiere of the 11th edition of the report took place on December 16th in Łódź. As every year, the event attracted the attention of the entire innovation community. “Polskie Startupy” is one of the most important and comprehensive studies on the Polish startup ecosystem. The report is based on the opinions of founders who share their experiences running a business in Poland and identify regions most conducive to the development of technological ventures. It’s been another very good year for Wrocław and Lower Silesia. Since 2021, the region has maintained its top position:

  • in 2022 and 2023 he was ranked 1st,
  • in 2021, 2024 and 2025 he was ranked 2nd.

This is proof of the stability and maturity of the local ecosystem, which attracts new teams, investors and business partners year after year.

Numbers that translate into real decisions

The “Polskie Startupy” report is not only a prestigious ranking but, above all, an important source of knowledge for decision-makers. The data and conclusions from the publication are used by public administration and organizations designing support programs, helping them better respond to the needs of developing technology companies.

Lower Silesia consistently demonstrates that it's one of the best places to build a startup in Poland. We're pleased that this is confirmed by data from the Polish Startups report, as well as daily conversations with founders who are experiencing firsthand the dynamic and inspiring growth of our region."

A closer look: the Lower Silesian Ecosystem under the magnifying glass

The year 2025 also brought an in-depth analysis of the local market. Startup Wroclaw and the Wrocław Agglomeration Development Agency (ARAW) published the “Wrocław & Lower Silesia Startup Ecosystem” report , which is entirely dedicated to the Lower Silesian startup ecosystem. The publication shows the region from the perspective of its key participants:

  • startups,
  • investors,
  • academic community,
  • institutions supporting business development.

This makes it a perfect complement to the nationwide Startup Poland report.

“A local perspective is just as important as a national or global perspective,” notes Paulina Muszyńska. “That’s why we’re thrilled that the Wrocław & Lower Silesia Startup Ecosystem report naturally complements Polish Startups, building a comprehensive picture of the state of the Polish startup ecosystem,” she adds.

Success on solid foundations

Wrocław’s high rankings in successive editions of the report are no coincidence. They are the result of many years of cooperation, commitment, and trust built between institutions, organizations supporting entrepreneurship, universities, and entrepreneurs themselves.

“It was clear a few years ago that this wasn’t a passing trend. Year after year, we confirm that the Wrocław ecosystem is strong, open, and full of bold people with ambitious ideas. We are proud that, as the Wrocław Agglomeration Development Agency and Startup Wrocław, we can work together to showcase the potential of Lower Silesia to the world.”
Magdalena Okulowska, President of the Management Board of the Wrocław Agglomeration Development Agency

Successive editions of the “Polish Startups” report clearly demonstrate that Wrocław not only maintains its high ranking but also consistently strengthens its role as one of the most important startup hubs in Poland. A place where innovation has real opportunities to thrive.
