Trends and innovations in the financial sector
A rich program awaits participants at the September meeting. The evening will open with a panel discussion entitled “Fintech vs. Crypto: The Future of Finance,” during which participants will examine the most important trends, challenges, and groundbreaking innovations shaping the future of the financial sector. They will discuss, among other things:
- Has the era of cryptocurrencies and blockchain-based solutions finally arrived?
- Are traditional fintech companies doomed to evolve in order to keep pace with new technologies?
- Is it possible for two worlds—the traditional and the decentralized—to coexist in the coming years?
“For years, Wrocław has been building its position as one of the most important places on the startup map of Poland. Subsequent editions of the meetup show how great the demand is for a space to exchange knowledge, experiences, and contacts.”
Paulina Muszyńska, head of Startup Wroclaw
Experts will share their experiences, insights into market developments, and predictions that may define how financial services will be used in the near future. This panel is for anyone interested in financial innovation and the future of banking, who follows developments in blockchain, DeFi, and digital payments.
What's happening in the world of venture capital funds?
The September Startup WRO Metup program also includes a fireside chat entitled “VC Insights,” featuring Stanisław Rogoziński, managing partner of the 24Ventures fund, and Maciej Jacenik from Startup Wroclaw.
“This is an excellent opportunity to take a behind-the-scenes look at the world of venture capital funds and find out what projects are attracting investors’ attention today.”
Maciej Jacenik
The next item on the agenda will be a presentation by Michał Uherka, an expert in cross-border transactions (Cross-Border M&A) and CFO, who will talk about the practical aspects of building scalable businesses in international markets.
The plan also includes a speech by Ewa Kaucz from Concordia Design about the acceleration program and Jakub Cendrowski from inQUBE, who will talk about a special field of study for startups at the University of Economics in Wrocław.
One of the panels will also feature Marcin Śledzikowski (SDZLEGAL Schindhelm), Jakub Bartoszek (Cashify), and Dominika Cebrat (PKO).
Without meetings, there would be no ecosystem
As always, networking will be an important part of the meetup – casual conversations behind the scenes, exchanging experiences, and meeting people who may become partners, clients, or mentors in your future business endeavors.
According to Krystyna Kardacz from Startup Wroclaw, it is this atmosphere of openness and cooperation that has made Startup WRO Meetup attract not only startups, but also investors, experts, and representatives of the academic world for ten editions.
A space for sharing experiences and discussing trends
The organizers invite everyone who wants to be close to innovation—from startup founders and investors to students just planning their first projects.
– Startup WRO Meetup is a space where you can exchange experiences, discuss trends, and establish contacts that often result in real collaborations. The tenth edition will be special because we will focus on the FinTech sector, which in the coming years has the chance to become one of the pillars of technological development in Wrocław and throughout Poland, says Marta Piksa from Startup Wroclaw.
The tenth edition of Startup WRO Meetup will begin on September 11, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. at Concordia Design. Registration starts half an hour earlier. Participation in the event is free—all you need to do is sign up on our website.
