For the fifth time, startup representatives had the opportunity to present their business ideas at Pitch Me Baby, which took place on Wednesday evening at Basecamp in Wrocław. The event allowed them to showcase their projects not only to a broad audience but also to mentors and investors. This edition was organized as an international collaboration under the Visegrad Fund, with partners from the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
A chance to improve pitching skills
Pitch Me Baby is an event primarily aimed at those who want to refine their ability to present business concepts. Each participant has five minutes to pitch their project. Immediately after their presentation, they receive instant feedback—honest and direct insights from the jury and the audience. This allows every speaker to learn firsthand how their pitch is perceived.
“This is our fifth edition in Wrocław. The project not only gives startup founders a chance to present themselves on stage in front of investors and mentors but also helps them improve their public speaking and business model presentation skills. We’re happy to be here thanks to Startup Wroclaw.”
— Maciej Kołtoński, organizer of Pitch Me Baby
Invaluable networking opportunities
According to Anna Drwięga from Kraków, who presented her startup Hydropolis, focused on vertical farming, such events are extremely valuable as they help participants overcome stage fright. She also emphasized the importance of networking.
“Only at events like this do you get to meet people in person, have real conversations about startups, business, and even personal experiences. Especially since many of us are at a similar stage in life.”
— Anna Drwięga
A supportive environment for testing ideas
Meanwhile, Krzysztof Kołodziński, president of Fundacja Problematy, which developed the Rzut Beretem app for locating the nearest textile collection points, highly recommends Pitch Me Baby to startup founders who have an idea and want to test it in a controlled environment.
“We received overwhelmingly positive feedback, so now we’re wondering what else we could improve. That means we must be doing a good job!”
— Krzysztof Kołodziński
“Events like this help test presentation skills. Sometimes, they also reveal whether certain ideas are truly viable.”
— Agnieszka Franus, Fundacja Problematy
A content-rich event in a relaxed setting
According to Krystyna Kardacz from Startup Wroclaw, Pitch Me Baby is a valuable initiative for Wrocław’s startup ecosystem because it brings together technology enthusiasts from across the country and abroad while providing opportunities to engage with investors and mentors.
“For us, this is a fantastic event because it attracts new faces and allows for valuable discussions in a more relaxed atmosphere.”
— Krystyna Kardacz
