In its latest announcement, Wroclaw-based Zrzutka.pl says it is expanding abroad and entering the European market.

“The year 2023, is a special time for the zrzutka portal, which is celebrating its 10th birthday and recently celebrated one billion PLN in contributions. The English-language version of zrzutka, or 4fund.com, has just been created. From now on, the foreign version of the platform is now available to Internet users throughout the European Union, giving them the opportunity to create and support online collections.Importantly, for free and without commission.”

The decision to expand, was facilitated by both the domestic and global crowdfunding market situation. It is predicted that in 2027 the value of this market will approach $28 billion, or about 112 billion PLN.

In Poland, the crowdfunding market will shrink by about 10% and will be worth less than a billion PLN in 2023. While the value of the global crowdfunding market this year will be at $15.5 billion, or about 62 billion PLN, with a growth rate of 16%.
- says Tomasz Chołast, zrzutka.pl board member and co-founder.

Zrzutka.co.uk and 4fund.com. They raise money for any purpose.

The launch of 4fund.com, was originally planned for the first quarter of this year, but the date was eventually moved to the third quarter. One of the main reasons for the decision to change the launch date, was the issue of fighting to preserve the status quo in the area of taxes on airdrops in Poland.

The new law was passed by the Sejm in January 2023 and introduced additional taxation of online airdrops. The action against the changes in the law was initiated by zrzutka.pl, and then for nearly 5 months this year it was involved in the fight to abolish the unfavorable legislation. In June this year. President of the Republic of Poland signed a new law lifting the additional fiscal burden on online airdrops. As a result, the platform was able to focus on completing preparations for overseas expansion.

“Initially, we want to focus on the European market. Hence, the portal is already available in all EU countries in an English-language version, i.e. citizens of all these countries will be able to register and organize collections. We plan to gradually go out with the promotion of the portal to other countries, starting with Ireland and then in Germany.”
– Tomasz Chołast, board member and co-founder of zrzutka.pl.

Zrzutka.pl is making 4Fund for the European market.

Although there is a lot of competition in the global crowdfunding market, as there are nearly 3,500 platforms operating in it, according to Crunchbase, the Polish 4fund.com has a good chance of success. Why?

Although there is a lot of competition in the global crowdfunding market, as there are nearly 3,500 platforms operating on it, according to Crunchbase, the Polish 4fund.com has a good chance of success. Why?

“We follow the crowdfunding business around the world, and one fact has always amazed us. The players in this sector, including the most well-known ones, charge high commissions (usually from 5% to 15%), and in addition, the organizer of the collection can wait even more than 14 days to withdraw the funds raised. Surprisingly, but it has a simple explanation, all of these portals, as far as we know, do not have a payment institution license and rely on the support of third-party payment service providers or financial institutions to manage all financial issues and KYC/AML.”
– Krzysztof Ilnicki, CTO and vice president of zrzutka.pl.

“This makes the process of delivering payments to collection organizers on these platforms long, expensive and time inefficient. That’s why we are going out to all online collection organizers across the European Union with our model, in which we ourselves as a portal enable collections and have the status of a PSP i.e. payment institution.” – concludes Ilnicki of zrzutka.pl.

Deposits and withdrawals in euros. How does 4Fund work?

4Fund operates on principles well known to Polish users of the zrzutka.pl portal.

  • You can set up a collection for any purpose, in accordance with the law and the portal’s regulations.
  • Contributions are supported by MasterCard, Visa, Google Pay and Apple Pay.
  • Money withdrawals for airdrop organizers are processed in just seconds, including on weekends.
  • In addition, which, in addition to the instant execution of withdrawals, also may be a rarity when it comes to foreign competition, the use of 4fund.com is completely free.

Both zrzutka.pl and 4fund.com do not charge commissions either to contributors or to those organizing the drops. An important difference between these sister portals is, of course, the language and currency – on 4fund.com deposits and withdrawals are made in euros.

What does the foreign development of zrzutka.pl mean for Poles? An unquestionable benefit for those who already have an account on zrzutka.pl is that they now have the opportunity to reach a wider, because international, audience.

In addition, for existing zrzutka.pl users, a simplified way of registration and verification on 4fund.com will soon be available. Also important for the recipients may be the fact that these sites are almost identical in terms of interface and functionality. So users of zrzutka will not have to learn how to use 4fund.com.
