Evolutions: Meetup & Showcase is an event that combines experience sharing, meetings with experts, a startup competition and networking. It will already take place on 19 and 20 June this year. With young companies in mind, the first day of the event will also include a special workshop to be held at Coventry University Wrocław.
These will teach how to attract the attention of customers
The workshops will focus, among other things, on effective marketing and sales strategies. They will also teach young entrepreneurs how to catch the attention of potential customers. Invited experts will look at market research, distribution channels and will help find ways to boost sales. They will also advise on how to prepare a startup so that it has a chance of international success.
Also scheduled are talks on effective market entry strategies: from concept to implementation. These are aimed at startup founders, marketing specialists and business leaders. Together with the presenter, Tarek Younis (board member of Kemgo, formerly of Uber), participants will look at market research, attention-grabbing messages, distribution channels and ways to strengthen the sales team.
The brand must be visible
During the workshop ‘Marketing ABCs for startups’, Łukasz Dębski (Social Media Manager, OVHcloud, CEE) and Joanna Parasiewicz (Head of Communication & Marketing, OVHcloud, CEE) will talk about finding and building communication leads, the benefits of internet monitoring and competitor analysis, keyword analysis, domain selection and website creation and analysis. They will also discuss the process of creating engaging content and building a brand presence on social media such as Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
They will talk about effective selling
Cezary Reszel (Expert Business Developer, Co-founder of HeadHunti, formerly of Booksy) will talk about aligning strategy with customer needs using the best sales methodology, Solution Selling. During the meeting, participants will also discover the secrets of selectivity in sales and learn how to identify key figures in the customer organisation. They will also learn about how different targets can have people in the same company and the importance this has on the final sales success.
The first part of the class will include theory and practical exercises to help understand the Solution Selling methodology and apply it in practice. Afterwards, you are scheduled to work on your own projects with the opportunity to consult and exchange experiences with other participants.
Ways to expand internationally
In the ‘Scaling Globally’ workshop, on the other hand, participants will learn key strategies and tools to help their initiatives succeed in the global market. Marta Zarosa (Business Associate, Bering Waters Ventures), an experienced entrepreneur and expert in startup development and Web3 initiatives, will share practical experiences and step-by-step tips for building an international business.
Workshops are scheduled at a basic and advanced level. Practitioners at the meetings will also talk about how to effectively promote a young company with limited resources.
The exact dates and registration for the workshops are available on the event website. Anyone interested in participating in this year’s edition of Evolutions: Meetup & Showcase can already read the meeting agenda.
The event is organised by Startup Wroclaw and the OVHcloud Startup Programme.
