Wroclaw the capital of surfers? It’s possible thanks to special electric surfboards

04.07.2023

The Fridee board is created with an emphasis on ease of handling and use. It is the first design of its kind also dedicated to rental. It uses several innovative technical solutions that make it easier for novice riders to get started with jetsurfing than on competing units. The founders point out that their goal is to create an electric surfboard that will be as similar as possible to a classic one in terms of use, but you will be able to surf wherever you want.

According to the founders, the main inspiration for the creation of Fridee was the combination of a passion for water sports started in childhood and technical knowledge accumulated during many years of professional activity. The founders have been participating in and following the water sports market for years. They have paid special attention to the powered surfboard market. It is young, but is growing rapidly giving a positive prognosis for the future of surfing.

The Oder River at the height of Wroclaw is great for surfing, provided you have a Fridee board.

The adaptation of new technologies into the water toy sector has been enthusiastically welcomed by water adventure enthusiasts and, offering new opportunities, is attracting a growing number of interested parties. However, it looks like this is just the beginning of the surfing revolution. Fridee has much more to offer than just an electric-powered board. In development is an advanced board control system that doesn’t require a hand controller, and an electric symmetrical wakeboard that can float in two directions.

The startup over the past 2 years, using its own funds, has developed the concept of the board and the company’s strategy, made a “0” prototype, established contacts with suppliers, contractors and industry experts, built a base of potential customers, and completed a team. Now the founders are looking for investors or other forms of funding because the next stages of the work require more money. They need PLN 1.4 MLN to create the target MVP. They also have a financial plan to bring the company to the profitability stage amounting to PLN 4.4 MLN.
